Elements
Elements Elements is the game Breakout on steroids. Instead of the classic setup of controlling a bat at the bottom of the screen and bouncing a ball up to destroy bricks, Elements lets you directly control the ball. You do so by clicking and moving your mouse to adjust the rotation of the orb. To beat each level, hit the green brick that has a white arrow on it. Also, to shrink and grow the level, hold down the Shift key and move the mouse in and out. A nice little bit of eye-candy is that you can see the future levels faintly glowing in the background of the game.
Shift 2
Shift 2 Turn your world not only upside down, but now sideways too! This sequel to Shift takes world-warping to a whole new level! Now you must flip vertically and horizontally, clear checkered boxes blocking the way, and overcome new brain-bending levels! If you find yourself feeling creative or bored, you can even design your own level! Make your way through these monochrome stages to reach the the door of happiness at the end!
Grid16
Grid16 Meet Grid16. Grid16 can easily be described as Four Second Fury Squared. You play 16 addictive mini-games at increasing rapidity. Each time you lose at a mini-game, you don't have to play that certain game for the rest of the round. Use the arrow keys to play each game, and use your gamer instinct to figure what to do in each one. When you have lost all 16 mini-games, either because of the insane speed or you had absolutely no idea what you're doing, the game spits out a nice sheet of data based on how you performed in each game. Cool!
Kinetikz
Kinetikz Kinetikz is a creative mash between air hockey and Snood. What you have to do is fire little blue balls at a purple puck, in hopes of pushing it onto a happy little square (denoted by a spinning yellow hexadecagon [that's a 16 sided figure, kids!]). As you progress through the levels, it takes more and more contriving and physics-ish thinking to get the puck to its destination. You'll have to deal with a variety of obstacles, such as conveyor belts, spinning boards, and sharp angles. Have fun y'all!
Compulse
Compulse Compulse is yet another physics-type game. This time you get to control the movement of a green ball, by means of simple movement blocks. These squares launch your orb in various directions. You beat the level when the green circle hits a larger green goal. As you surpass the easy levels, your ball has to avoid more and more obstacles, such as mines, one-way walls, and keys. To prove your worth, each level has two "pars." The first is the number of movement blocks the average player should use to complete the level. Then second is the number of movement blocks a professional player should use. Be it as it may, choose what par you're going to challenge yourself to and enjoy this addicting game.
Fracture 2
Fracture 2 What happens when you mix modern art and Asteroids? You get Fracture 2! Every time you destroy and enemy, it pops like a zit into an artistic splat of paint. Pretty snazzy, eh? Also, every time you extirpate an enemy there is a small chance a power-up will materialize. Examples of said power-ups are shields, invincibility (denoted by a star, and when it's activated the music changes... does this remind you of another game?), upgraded weaponry, etc. Use the arrows keys to move your spaceship, and the WASD keys to fire in the respective directions. If you don't play carefully, your 5 lives will quickly be squandered. So watch out!
Spectrum Genesis
Spectrum Genesis John Cooney (jmbt02) has done it again. He has created an amazingly addictive game. This time, he made a little wonderment based off the old Mac OS 7 game called Spin Doctor. To play, you use only three keys. The A key causes you, a small rod that rotates around basic gray pegs, to latch to an adjacent peg and begin rotating around that one, in the opposite direction as before. The S key does the same thing as the A key, except when you attach to another peg, you orbit it in the same direction as the last. Finally, the space bar makes you rotate in the opposite direction, while staying on the same peg. The point of each level is to get to the ending star while latching onto as many different pegs as you possibly can. Be careful though. Later levels become unbelievably difficult! Symptoms include grey rods, very much like the one you control, that come and try to attack you. Yikes!
Bloxorz
Bloxorz If you're itching for a brain-bending challenge, Bloxorz will satisfy your craving immediately. Using your problem-solving skills, flip an awesome-looking brick from side to side and end to end in order to slip it perfectly into the hole in the grid. If using your mind isn't hard enough, the game gets even more complicated as additional factors test your mettle, such as fragile tiles, weight-sensitive activation pads, and unguarded edges. Think as hard as you can (without hurting yourself) to master the movement of this brick!
Desktop TD
Desktop TD The perfect combination of office work and office play has arrived. With somewhat simple "towers" or attackers, stop waves of hand-drawn creeps from traversing your cluttered desktop. Build a maze of offensive and defensive units across the vast wooden clearing to slow your enemies and give your goons more time to attack with their individual weapons. Make sure you prepare for the leagues of flying enemies or else your lack of anti-air towers will quickly turn into miserable failure. If you find you have a special skill for winning (or losing) consider upping the stakes and playing a "challenge" level to test your mettle. Click "Start" and let the chaos begin.
Detonate
Detonate Bring out the Mountain Dew! Whip out those 250 milliliters of Red Bull! You're going to need a boost in reaction time. Detonate requires expert recognition time and lightning fast reflexes. The whole game is about detonating bombs. A little helicopter smiley thing floats along the top of the screen and hurls black and red bombs downward. To detonate black bombs, click 'n drag them into another black bomb. Instantly on contact, the two bombs rupture into a nice little explosion. To annihilate red bombs, you simply click on them. As you blow up more and more bombs, bombs are spawned in increasing rapidity. You think it sounds simple? Think twice and meet your new match! If you miss exploding any bomb and it hits the bottom of the screen, you lose sir! Before long, you'll find yourself frantically twitching the mouse to keep up with the precipitation of exploding objects.
